Hosier Lane


Hosier Lane is a bluestone cobbled vehicle and pedestrian lane way on the southern bank of central Melbourne. Hosier lane is a celebrated landmark in Melbourne because of it sophisticated urban art.
Hosier Lane is situated opposite the entrance to the Atrium at Federation Square on Flinders Street. This is a good spot in the city.
The lane has been noted for the quality of its art. It has been featured in the state-sponsored book “The Melbourne Design Guide” and in Tourism Victorias “Lose Yourself in Melbourne”
The graffiti covered walls have been popular backdrops for fashion and wedding photography.
The main feature of Hoiser Lane is known as “Our Lady Hoiser” which is a large mural of a woman whose clothes changeover time.
